Privacy Policy
Effective date: February 28, 2026
OverHelper ("we", "our", "the app") is published by Code-RED d.o.o., Lackova cesta 15, 2000 Maribor, Slovenia. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and how it is handled.
1. Camera & On-Device Processing
OverHelper uses your device camera to scan the Overwatch 2 in-game scoreboard. All image processing and hero detection happen entirely on your device using an embedded machine-learning model. Camera frames are never transmitted to our servers or any third party. No photos or video are stored on your device by the app.
2. Account Information
You may sign in with Google or Apple. When you do, we receive and store:
- Your email address
- Your display name
- Authentication provider (Google or Apple)
This information is used solely to identify your account and is not shared with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
3. Analytics (Firebase Analytics)
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used in aggregate. Events are anonymous and do not contain personally identifiable information. Examples include screen views, scan starts, and feature usage counts.
On iOS, analytics collection respects Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. If you decline the ATT prompt, no analytics identifiers are collected.
4. Crash Reporting (Firebase Crashlytics)
We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports so we can identify and fix bugs. Crash reports include device model, OS version, and stack traces. They do not contain personally identifiable information.
5. Device Metadata
When you use the app, the following metadata may be collected and associated with your account:
- Platform (iOS or Android)
- Operating system version
- Device model
- Locale / language setting
- App version
- Country (derived from IP address via server-side GeoIP lookup; your IP address is not stored)
This data helps us understand our user base, prioritize platform support, and diagnose issues.
6. Scan Telemetry
When you perform a scan, the app may send the following telemetry to our server:
- A random session identifier (not linked to your identity across sessions)
- Scan duration (milliseconds)
- Number of frames processed
- Detected heroes, map, and game mode (the analysis results)
This telemetry is used to improve detection accuracy and the recommendation engine. No camera frames or images are included.
7. What We Do NOT Collect
OverHelper does not collect:
- Health or fitness data
- Financial or payment information
- Contacts or address book data
- Precise or coarse location (GPS)
- Advertising identifiers or profiles
- Browsing history
- Microphone or audio data
- Photos, videos, or camera frames (all processing is on-device)
